Part of a three-part "Poem Cycle" by Bernard Herrmann and based upon the Elizabethan poem "Weep You No More, Sad Fountains", this beautiful 1934 "Melodram" by Bernard Herrmann captures the gentle, consoling tone of John Dowland's elegiac poetry.
This rare work not heard in over 80 years is lovingly captured by the Hollywood Studio Orchestra's performance which is heard in this version without narration.
